Hye Taste: traditional armenian cooking classes for young adults
To past, present and future HYE TASTE participants, Have you ever attempted an Armenian dish only to find that it doesn't quite taste like you hoped it would? Have you ever wondered what goes into some of those delicious traditional meals that your mom or aunt or grandmother make? Have you ever asked them to teach you only to find that everything is done 'atchki tchapov'? Well here's our proposition for you! Join us for a hands-on cooking session with chef Levon Kaprielian on Monday February 8th at 7 pm. We'll be gathering in the restaurant of the Armenian Community Center (Sourp Hagop) where Levon will teach us how to master two favorites... ... and he'll throw in the measurements too! So what will be cooking in the HYE TASTE kitchen on February 8th? MSATSAVAR (otherwise known as 'Sini Keofte') and for those of you with a sweet tooth ENGOUYZOV TELAHAYS ('Engiouzov Tel Ghadayif') Please reserve your spot today as places are limited. Simply send in your name to hyetaste@hotmail.com by February 1st. Take note that the participation fee is of 20$; it will go towards buying ingredients and supplies for the cooking session. We look forward to seeing you for our very first session of 2010! Your Hye Taste committee
